As far as the LMT MRP .308 (still in prototype phase), the LMT rep at the booth said it is compatible with the SR-25 style lowers.

looks quite a bit like the gas block/internals of the G36/SL8... sweet!

How anyone outside of a few that have used the ACS can say that is puzzling, are you judging by its looks alone? The SOPMOD's shortcoming (having to remove the stock to access the storage) is a long standing one, but it's tolerable.

My gripe about the CTR and UBR is the cheek weld isn't as good, and the location of the stock release is unconventional. Unless you train with it a lot, your hand usually wants to find the release where it's normally located, not inside the stock as the case with the CTR and ACS, or a trigger-like paddle on the UBR.

Anyhow, thanks to all that posted pics!

Yeah, looks. But honestly a LOT of people on this site go off that basis too.

I was curious about this too. Looks like a copyright infringement with the BFL.

Same. Is there a website that sells this, and does he have AR15.com's permission to be using the BFL?

I already addressed this:

A friend of mine makes those actually. I am most likely going to be a dealer of them.

Whats the issue with the copyright infringement someone said? Is that because of the logo? I will have to get the scoop on this. I just noticed it myself.

The BFL on that multitool opens him to a case of trademark infringement unless he has permission to use it.

He is a stand-up individual. He is very familiar with trademarks, copyrights, etc. He wouldnt use it unless he had permission to....or at least Id be VERY surprised.

As soon as I hear from him I will let you know. But he is very familiar with arfcom also, so I doubt thats the case. And they are not for sale YET...a month or two more and they will have the first batch ready. No website yet, though he may only sell them through distributors (brownells, etc).

Yep, it fits the larue-style style attachment knobs

Also has:

-first tanto-style knife in a multi-tool
-front sight adjustment tool
-buttstock wrench
-bit holder (comes with flatheads, phillips, torx, allens, etc)
-carbon scraper
-file
-long point needle nose pliers long enough to manually extract a case and sharp enough point to pull the cotter pin that holds the bolt in the BC
-carrying case that holds bits and tool in a compact package

Well, it is so early in the prototype phase, it just might end up a piston. Who knows. They said it won't be out until the end of the year or longer.

I wish they had a more "user friendly" booth like the other optics companies that had all their models on top of dummy platforms so you could try them out. I was hoping to see the diffs between the Nightforce models as well.

I would imagine with the price that thing will fetch they will go with the piston.

Since the good friend seems to not want to be named...

The website is www.multitaskertools.com, but its firewalled right now and you get a "you have tried to access a site you do not have permissions for" message.

Nice Trigger Guard

R.I.P ACR. Damn you bushmaster! Damn you!!!!
Link Posted: 1/17/2009 7:33:09 PM EDT
I woud've guessed that LaRue would've patented the QD sling mounting points built into the handguard. Apparently not.

Great idea with the sling mount in the lower! Too bad it'll be either unavailable to civilians, and/or absurdly expensive.

The SR15E3 is already available. I've been wanting to get my hands on one, but they have been sold out so far.

Before accusing someone of stealing intellectual property, might be useful to read up and learn the difference between a copyright and a trademark, and what each covers.

Just to make sure you saw what I posted, as well as those guys:

That was a Multitasker made especially for Arfcom, thus the BFL.
