I think the original product idea was to use this in hostile environment where light discipline was in place... as in trying to find a vein while wearing NV and no white light... |

Many options for barrel lengths, and mag change is super fast - remove one, drop in new. Rotating mag or dropping in new mag all release the bolt held open from shooting one tube empty. Manual switch to each of the tubes might provide option to label and have two loads. I have a page of info but posting from cell phone at the airport so no access until I get home. When you run one tube dry, does it automatically switch to the next or do you have to manually rotate? If it auto-rotates I think this is a very cool design, and I'm surprised it isn't getting more attention. If it's manual rotate only I'm much less interested. I'd have to remember to rotate after the third shot each tube, or rack the charging handle every four shots. That manual of arms is a little complex for my taste. That Calico 12 ga, on the other hand, also has my attention. Guns that are ugly as sin have always attracted me. |

Manual- but when you rotate the magazine it automatically drops the bolt so no racking required. Fire to empty chamber, bolt locks back. Rotate magazine and fire. Honestly the 3 shotguns that interest me are this, the keltec ksg, and the new Benelli 3-gun (available in 60 days). Each is unique with very little overlap. The closest product to this would be the x-rail, and that puts all the weight forward. IMHO this handles much better. |

-snip Great, thanks for clarifying. Still interested. 2K is steep for a shotgun, but I love to see the innovation. |

Best pictures of the Silencerco Saker I've seen so far, and the first to show the mounting parts in good light. Thanks for taking them. |

THE SRM, I have shot it, the thing is awesome. The rounds load before you even get the mag seated all the way. I also like the compact design. Everyone is correct you shoot it and the bolt locks back rotate the mag the bolt goes forward and you are ready to fire. It is quick and easy to make it a lefty gun also!

That would be a great caliber for the AR, and I know Marty at Teppu Jutsu had a barrel made up in that caliber for it and had access to the M14 converstion to test it with. He raved about it and actually offered it for sale, but MGI wouldn't sell the M14 conversion at that time, so that project came to a screeching halt.

Mack G. hasn't been particularly talkative about what they are up to. It's coming out from what I hear june. Theres a press release for it out just google mgi 308 conversion. 1795 for the gun and 749 for the conversion although it dosen't say what all is required for the conversion . I hope I can just get the magwell bolt and bcg and get my own barrel made for it. I'd like a 16 inch. Do you know what's the differences between the qcb c and d? It looks like the rails are a bit slimmer but I have no idea what the real changes are. |

Thanks so much for the coverage!! I know this a late post...but hey, everyone loves a little "revive". A few things have always amazed me about the great AR15 products...and some things that really make me scratch me head. One is....the same old/same old AR...but put a paint job on it, and hang it up in your expensive booth...the other is....M16 standard grip....WHY put it on a rifle anymore? How many of us have thrown them in the garbage. If you are offering the latest and greatest...put a decent grip on it...they are all on the low cost side these days.
Innovative calibers, now that is what I call cool. If someone could launch an AR that shoots 7.62 x 54r, or 8mm Mauser...that sucker would sell thru the roof. That M14 mag conversion...heck...I'd be ALLLL over that. Barrel changeable AK....I WANT (3). PG |
