Found it!

Both the  V-2 and V-4's were darn near identical, save for the tube and transformer compliment.

Great reverb and mid range control.

Anyway, had a V-2, prepped it for sale.   Sold it to a local guy.  I couldn't find that panel to save my butt, he said no big, get it to me when you find it.

When I found it, he had already traded, sold it.  I knew it was around. been a few years ago.

Just a chunk of wood/[particle board 4 1/2" x 21 7/8" (ish) with the center removed and galvanized hardware cloth  stapled over the opening.

Nice.  I looked at ordering on from flip tops, but I think I can make one for less...

I actually got an offer I couldn't refuse for the amp, and it's in its new home now....

it was always surplus to my needs, but vintage tube amps are always welcome to stay for a spell....
