I believe that these feelings are not largely shared on this system. I have no personal experience with it and don't want any. One good thing is it is easy to remove and install regular tuners in its place.

Yeah, many of us see it as an abomination.

Great concept, but most guitarists that would spend the money for a Gibson already know how to tune a Guitar.
I think that's why the concept more or less failed.
Disclaimer: I never tried the system

I had 3 2015 LP's with that auto tuner and it sucks.  I took it off all three.

Yes it tuned just just fine.  The problem is it don't stay in tune.  My theory is that the strings are slipping on the posts.  I tried very way possible to put the strings on and the final solutions was to replace the whole damn thing with locking Grovers.  Sooooo much better.

Again I had a Studio, Traditional and a Standard 2015.  All three had the same result with the auto tuner.  Now I'm not old school by any means so I'm open to new tech and Ideas.  In fact I make my living with Technology.  This thing just fails.  I noticed they changed the design for the new 2017 HP models.  Maybe they resolved it.

EDIT: In fact late in the 2015 model year Gibson sent locking Grover sets to all retailers who still had 2015's in stock with instruction to swap them out lower the price and send back the auto tuners.

We have a few 2015's in the shop with the Min-E-Tune.  Yuck.

they don't stay in tune well at all....  plus often takes a few strums to lock the tuning in.   Count me in the "Not on my Les Paul" camp.

YMMV

Passed on several Gibsons due to the auto tuner, lol. I think the tech is almost there and in a few years who knows.

They're easily replaced with Grovers, the holes are the same.

Use the mode where it tunes one string at a time.  Tuning is not a problem with them, it's staying in tune that sucks.

My singer had the first generation robot.  It was a cool novelty but was unreliable.  The last time I took a Gibson for a test ride, the tuner wasn't any more reliable.

I'm glad I have what I want, because Gibson hasn't done much the last couple years.

Guys you were right - swapping out the robos for Grovers was stupid easy.  I did watch a couple youtube how-tos, but the entire job was about twenty minutes.  Here she is, wearing her new Grovers:

Does it allow you to change to different tunings easily? I.e. from e standard to d standard?
