I have a lot of favorite albums, depending on the mood!

Rush - Hemispheres
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss
Opeth - Still Life
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Motorhead - Overkill
Coheed and Cambria - The Afterman - Descension
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Clutch - Earth Rocker
Ramones - Leave Home
Voivod - Dimension Hatross

I can plow through pretty much all of these without skipping a single note.  That's what defines a really fantastic album to me.  Not just a bunch of singles, but a concise series of songs that just 'work' together.

Not gonna lie... I dig that one (especially the title track). But hey... I dig "Nostradamus" too. Cheesy... but still awesome.

Nostradamus has put me to sleep every time I've tried to listen.

There are a lot of plodding, sleepy parts in there for sure. But there are some beautiful, acoustic and/or melodic passages with the twin-guitar-harmony thing going that I really like and are less reminiscent of the classic Judas Priest heavy simplicity, and more reminiscent of a band with more dynamic sensibility and harmonic complexity. Not what I would choose to listen to every day... but very satisfying when I'm in the mood. In fact, going to put it on right now.

As a kid, KISS Alive II was definitely one of my faves. So many great tunes on there, and the awesome stage scene as it's folded open still makes me feel like it did when I first opened it at the ripe old age of 10 or so. My parents threw my album away early-on because they didn't care for the whole KISS thing. So I walked three miles to the store on a wintery Wyoming day and bought another one. They didn't bother trying after that. I was obsessed with rock-stardom at that age.

Interesting list!

Reach the Beach has been getting a lot of airplay at home recently because I picked-up a nice turntable and that was one of the first "new" albums that I chose to add to the LP collection that I've been dragging around since the 80s. And to a lesser extent, DiMeola's Elegant Gypsy and Casino.
