If you could only have one.  Home use only in the basement.  Ideally it could go from 80s Iron Maiden or Gary Moore to modern stuff like Kill Switch Engage or Amon Amarth.

My current favorite cab is a Marshall 1960a loaded with G12T-75s & V30s.

My Avatar Vintage 4x12 loaded with the same speakers is a close second.

I use to have an Orange 412 with the Vintage 30s.  It wasn't a bad cabinet, but wasn't what I'd call bright.  I had various amps I ran through it.  Mesa Dual rectifier, Soldano 50, Marshall DSL50, and a couple of different JCM800 reissues.

I've currently playing through a Peavey 6505+ combo and the single speaker isn't cutting it anymore.

Ah, gotcha.

You'll definetly want a Marshall 1960 with G12T-75s. A lot of people rag on those speakers, but with a mid heavy amp like a 5150/6505, they work great. You can usually pick up a used one for $300-$450. But I would try a speaker swap before going that far. You can find good used G12T-75s for dirt cheap because so many people think that they're bad speakers.

And I used to hate G12T-75s, myself, but I've matured a little and have realized that I don't need to have the Presence knob cranked all the time. Suddenly, G12T-75s sounded good.

Wait... So you don't have to dime every knob all the time?

Yeah and I also learned to not turn the mids all the way down too.
