My daughter just turned 3 and she loves to play my gutiars. I want to get her a GOOD 1/4 sized gutiar. I don't want to break the bank but I want something that will hold a tune. Any ideas?

Look into Mini Martins. Very well made, reputable name, and they are very easy to play!!

I'm sorry but there is no way I would spend $400 on a guitar for a 3 year old. There are mini acoustics in the $100 or less range that are decent enough for a 3 year old to play. Then if she doesn't like it your not out a fortune. If she really does become serious you could always step up to something better in a couple of years.
Hi my name is Joe and I have BRD.

Yeah, 3 seems to be a bit young to spend any sort of money on quality, unless she's some sort of idiot savant prodigy type. At 3 she's just as likely to trip and smash the damn thing as she is to get any good tone out of it.

Bought my son a First Act acoustic when he was 3 for around $35. He plays it a little, but it mostly sits around. It's got a cracked headstock now....glad I didn't get him a good one. This year for his birthday he's getting a Squier Strat. Again, a cheap guitar, but better quality than the First Act, and now he doesn't have to use my SG to play anymore.

I found a place called guitar works inc. That makes quality 1/2 size guitars for $80 with a 7 year warranty.

This. Excellent little guitars. I bought one for my daughter a while back, and I still noodle around on it myself from time to time. The intonation is right on, it stays in tune, the action is good, and its durable. Hers came with a pretty sweet gig bag, too.
