I have an amazing soundboard on CD that I haven't listened to in ages. It's the Floyd from San Fran 04-29-70 at the Fillmore West. Man what a show!!! Opened up with Granchester Meadows into Astronomy Domine, Cymbaline, Atom Heart Mother, Embryo, Green in the Color, Careful with that ax Eugene, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Saucerful of Secrets and finally Instellar Overdrive. I found something thats from the same day I guess but it's a KQED studio event.

I never really got into their earlier stuff. But that's a cool find, nonetheless.

I was working at a local record store between 89 and 91. Dark Side was still in the Top 100 and we had a big Floyd day when it finally fell out in 90 or 91. Dark Side is great but their older psychedelic stuff like Echos, Careful with the Ax, Saucer Full of Secrets, etc does it for me. Animals is great also......

Just recently emerged from MY old Floyd binge
Couldn't get enough of the old stuff
Obtained all Syds stuff as well as old movies with Floyd sound tracks
Your Filmore recording sounds like a good song list. How is the recording.
I remember going to midnight movies to see so many interesting shows, one being Floyd in Pomei
So much good old stuff

I would say I grew up on Floyd, Zepplin, The Doors, etc.....my dad always listened to them even though I had no idea who they were or what era they were from. Now, 15 years later I find myself still listening to all the classic rock bands. It was, IMO, one of the best times when new music was being created. I may not know the names of the Floyd songs but I can usually tell it's them even if I've never heard the song because of David Gilmour and his style of playing.

Was La Vallee any good? I always loved the soundtrack; never saw it.

It's a soundboard on CD that sounds rather good. Obviously it originally was a analog reel but it doesn't sound more than one or two generations from the master.

Wow, thanks for posting that link! I'm a fan of the early Floyd and always wondered if there was more footage of decent quality from that era. Can you point me to where I can find the cd you have?
