So USCG C-130 # 2001 decided to fly over the farm today.  I notice this big round aperture in the belly; is that for some kind of observation instruments?

I got some pics of 2004 when I was fishing in Lake Gaston six years ago.
I logged 2001 on mode-S today between 1000 and 1115.

It was overhead here (25 miles east of Cville) at 10:17. Heading a little west of north.   Maybe 2000 ft altitude.
