passed my multi instrument commercial add on last week in the C310Q. what a fun ride! very challenging but fair examiner. there were a few things during the oral I thought we would get more into but that was not the case... I wasn't going to argue it though. I guess its not bad to be over prepared!

Nice, I'm working on my instrument ticket at the moment. I have a Duchess lined up for my multi commercial after that and I can't wait. I got an hour of flying an Aztec and it was a ton of fun. Can't wait!

Congrats! Extra kudos for doing it in a conventional rotating twin (the 310 is a hot-rod and I love flying them).

Getting a multi-rating in a conventional twin will make you a more rounded multi-engine pilot as the effects from an engine failure, particularly the left engine, are more pronounced and you really have to be on the ball.  Pilots that get ratings in counter-rotaters (Seminole, Duchess, etc) are often real surprised how much different the effects really are.

I used to own an Aztec and have several hundred hours in them and now when I fly multi's, they're usually rental Seminoles and the rental checkouts are nonevents when the instructors pull an engine.

That said, counter-rotaters are safer.

Congrats.  That is the easiest checkride you will ever take, (unless you get a Corporate job flying a Pilatus)

Congratulations! Love the Q. I've got about 800 hours in one that had the Colemill conversion (300hp each side) and VG's. Beautiful plane until the guy we sold it to got in over his head with it going into a 2500' Pennsylvania strip.

According to the NTSB:
"The pilot's misjudged distance/speed during final approach, which resulted in an undershoot and hard landing."

Destroyed a perfectly good airplane.

Gotta know your limits. Fly safe, Op. Congratulations again.
