Got my list of choices. Depending on class rank I can take SHV, CID, SBN, HUF, LAN, or ABI. Anyone know anything about these? No personal knowledge of the rest, but: SBN is only going to be busy on ND home football weekends, but it is a 7 I think. I use to fly in there a decent amount. Never seemed crazy. ABI is also a level 7 rapcon I believe SHV is a level 6 LAN is a level 6 CID is a level 6.... in Iowa 
Good news is, it looks like all of your options will get you a radar ticket, which opens up some more options down the road. I have heard from some people it can be easier to move within a region or district if you are looking to move up to the show. So if you eventually want to try DFW, ABI may be a good spot to be. Or if you wanted ORD, SBN could be a good spot. No idea if it's true or not, but something to maybe think about. |
