Avweb is reporting that Felix Baumgartner's record jump has been "shattered" by a Google exec that did it in a spacesuit only. He worked in secrecy for three years. This is an incredible feat if it actually happened but all of the major new sources are silent.

It seems that the Brits are on it. CNN, Fox, Yahoo, Aero-News...?

I guess if Red Bull is not behind it then it's no big deal.

I saw it on Yahoo! yesterday. I suspect the jump didn't get so much news coverage because Red Bull is very good at promoting Red Bull, so it's reasonable to expect that every media outlet they could find got press kits, etc. This one, not so much.
