Quoted: One of the nice things about living about 1.5 miles from our local municipal field is that we regularly get small traffic over our house, and from time to time some more interesting stuff like C-130's and Blackhawks doing practice drops with the local NG units. These guys were dropping in January when it was about 10deg F outside. Guessing the blast from the slip stream was cold! http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/C130%20Airdrop%20Jan%202015/DSC_0131_zpsfd8c5e7c.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/C130%20Airdrop%20Jan%202015/C130closeup_zpsb44fef8c.png http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/C130%20Airdrop%20Jan%202015/DSC_0143_zps6ae31d1e.jpg Being in the country means we routinely get our own airshows from this guy doing crop dusting. Last week he was in front of our house and was so much fun to watch. Big radial growling as he nosed in and sprayed, then going almost quiet as he climped out at about 45deg, hit hard left rudder to turn hard over, then throttled up to do another pass. Didn't get the camera out in time tot get any pictures. I did catch him spraying a field behind our house this weekend. What was great is he was below tree-top level, so couldn't see him, but could hear that loud radial coming toward me. He'd pop up over the trees, bank hard and rudder over and go back the other way. I tried to catch a cool shot of him below roof top and tree top level. Mind you I live up on a hill, but this was really fund to watch. Has to be a lot of fun to fly. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/DSC_0009_zpsh0fn2sfd.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/DSC_0013_zps8yydhsrx.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/DSC_0016_zps8tdcvhbp.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd136/jblomenberg16/DSC_0017_zpsztgw1zna.jpg View Quote |

Or hard forward accell where the tail is allowed to come up at a steep angle momentarily? Seems pretty darn close to the deck to be vertical like that! |

There's one that flies out of Suffolk, VA that does a lot of work with certain teams of Navy guys around here you may have heard of. |

Nice as always. You gotta come in and show me up... Just kidding you. I should do some processing on my Airventure pics. I have over 1500 of them and have only batch resized them. I have several that I want to make large prints to display in the hanger. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
