Troubling picture today from the FB page. Someone 'lost their head'.

EDIT: Confirmed the right bank on the Spit had low compression and has been torn down. Hoping to still have it fly next month.

Some glamour shots from fly-ins and aerobatic contests last two years.

EDIT: Sorry about the picture size...not sure how to make them smaller.

Welcome back QUIB, did the Goatboy change the rules on the pictures again, they are all showing up smaller and clickable and I do not see any informational postings related to it.

Approximately 20 of those planes are flying into Udvar-Hazy today for an open house. I'll have some pics from that today.

I'll be in Manassas tomorrow morning for some more pics of Fifi.

Next weekend is Warbirds over the Beach!

If you notice the TBM banking away in one of my pictures, he had to make a precautionary landing at DCA due to a hydraulic leak. He made it to the ground fine and the shop manager for The Fighter Factory said it was no big deal and should already be fixed. That's the only mechanical issue I heard of out of all the planes present. The Corsair banking away was doing the missing man.

Our local TBM had some problems recently, left M/L/G collapse during taxi. The poster was a small way to help contribute to her repair and help bring awareness to the incident.

Quib, is 309 still down? I noticed the date on the poster was from 2014. I got a ride in 309 years ago at a show in Utah. If the donation link is still up I will be using it.

I haven't been following her progress for quite a few months. I think their Facebook page would have the best updates on her progress.

I saw an update not too long ago that she was getting the wing, bay doors and cowlings repaired at the moment. Things are progressing
