Now you're getting the hang of it!  Just put that extra wheel on the other end and you're in business!

Nice place!  ...and plane!

Thank you! The tail on that 206 has been reinforced. It's not really on the ground, just on the grass a smidgen. This happens a few times per year with heavy loads.  I did have a plane with the wheel on the backside but it would only haul two people and a case of beer.  Couldn't afford two so the Husky had to go.

Okay, tell me how dey do dat.

They plug the design into their GPS unit and the tractor does the rest.

Design is digitized and entered into the Trimble gps.  Gps and laptop mounted on mower to mow the paths.  This is the one in my posts getting mowed.

My strip.  I wouldn't take a 65 hp champ in there.

We have had the Kitfoxs and PPCs here.  It is 2 miles from Zollinger strip and we use it when we need a N/S strip to avoid the crosswind.  For the PPCs it is nice to have a N/S and E/W strip so close together.

runway is from the grass waterway behind the house to the pond left of the wing strut.  Fly north over then pond then you have the creek and trees.  Not the best picture but gives you an idea what we have.

2000 ft long.

Yep, got it.

Busy place.  It needs more Champs, though.  There's nothing like grass.  Here is my favorite strip...

Slipping over the trees for Runway 12.  2700' of fuzzy concrete.  We also have 06-24, 2400' that crosses at the far end, just beyond the hangar.  We have 2 Stearman, a Hatz, a Stinson, and my Champ.  That's my house and pond.  My hangar is scheduled to be built in November.

Flew over to the neighbors strip.  The other kitfox got a picture of me after landing.

We did have 2 kitfox and 2 PPCs there but I never even took my ppc up.  Did all my flying in the kitfox.

I took my 4 year old twin boys flying a little while ago.  I rented a 172 and took them one at a time so it'd be special for them each.  They loved it and are constantly bugging me to go again!  I foresee my wallet getting thinner in the next decade for 2X private pilot tickets.  They both say they want to grow up and be a pilot like their dad.    Proud papa here.

New to the site and first post. Flying has always been #1, followed very closely by shooting. Glad to see a lot of other flyers here.
Thanks for all the info, just put together my first AR, a 300 Blackout and learning all I can from you guys.

Enjoy the pics:

My Steen Skybolt and 1947 Stinson

The Skybolt from a friends Super Cub

1947 Stinson 108-2

The Skybolt loves anything other than straight & level!

EDIT: not sure why my pics didn't show...

It got a nice long bath.  I hate it when it's clean though, because now I won't want to get it dirty again.  It's going to happen, but I won't like it.
