Nice Pedo-stache.

So, how was it? A bit slower than the ol T38, eh?

I was a lot of fun, kind of like flying a 40,000lb T-6. I definately need to get used to flying for longer than an hour though.

Your 6'5" fits into that cockpit right nice like.

Haha, yea I squeeze in there. Its roomier than the 206 and 58AC I flew before (but not a whole lot more).

My knees go over the top of the cyclic. Luckily I can open my legs up enough.

We have spent the past 7-8 days flying round the clock doing lots of airdrops, dirt landings, engine running up/downloads, NVG work, ect. All of it Afghanistan flying based training scenarios. Always a good time.

I flew a couple nights but spent a lot of time on the drop zone and landing zone.

Later this summer I am headed to Army Pathfinder School. Should kick this old mans ass.

With no rest for the wicked, here in a few days we roll into our annual fire fighting training with the Forest Service.

Some pics from earlier this week on dirt runways.

My father was a Pathfinder in Vietnam ('67-'69). He said the school was a cast iron bitch. Good luck, and thank you for your service.

Its just a still from a video that I haven't gotten around to converting and editing. Power on stall with a wing drop on my recent Private checkride.

Wheel landing to finish off the checkride since I did my Private training in a tailwheel.

R22's and R44's are NOT helicopters and should be banned from the sky.

Anything with piston engine should not be considered a helicopter.

I don't know what I'm more jealous of; all the helicopter time, getting to fire rockets from one, or the green grass and trees.
