Wilson Combat Announces
Anti-Gun States, No-Sale Policy
Effective: February 28, 2013

Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens. This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements.

States currently included in our No-Sale Policy are:
California
Hawaii
Maryland
Massachusetts
New Jersey
New York
Washington D.C.
The City of Chicago, Illinois
Wilson Combat will in NO way support the government of these states or their anti-gun agenda that only limits the rights of law-abiding citizens. Wilson Combat will continue to supply any product and/or service they can legally sell in these states to all non-government affiliated citizens.

Ryan Wilson,
Vice President

While I applaud the refusal to sell to governmental organizations, I would like to remind people that police officers are:

1)   possessing the same rights as any other citizen. Why not refuse to sell to National Guardsmen from those states?

2)   are NOT RESPONSIBLE for the laws that are passed... and it is often the police officers who attempt to minimize the damage done by bad laws until we the people elect lawmakers who will fix them.

THIS is the reason I won't BUY or WORK ON/ WITH anything made by Wilson Combat (and I do a fair amount of free gunsmithing for guys -both LE and not- who can't afford to pay for a lot of custom work -usual fee is a Shiner Bock in a bottle)... until they respect the rights of INDIVIDUALS equally.

Although I don't disagree with your sentiment about PDs. Someone always marches to a different drummer.
Please extend your list to include the following manufacturers;

Olympic Arms, Inc
La Rue Tactical
EFI, LLC – Extreme Firepower
York Arms
Templar Custom
Cheaper Than Dirt
Barrett Firearms
Exile Machine
Tier One Arms
Bravo Company USA
Primary Weapons Systems
Crusader Weaponry
Top Gun Supply
Kiss Tactical
Clark Fork Tactical
OFA Tactical
One Source Tactical
Templar Tactical Arms
NEMO Arms
Old Grouch’s Military Surplus
Big Horn Armory
Midway USA
CMMG Inc
Rocky Top Tactical
Badger Peak
Controlled Chaos Arms
SRT Arms
Norton Firearms
Citizen Arms
Evolution Weaponry
Doublestar Corp
JCW Industries
Huntertown Arms

This list, most likely has expanded further since it dates back to February of this year.  I suspect the majority of gun owners support this "boycott" of anti gun States, specially those that live in the affected states.

As a victim of the New York State SAFE Act and legislature, I applaud Wilson Combat for their stance.  As soon as I move to a free state, I will endeavor to significantly contribute to their bottom line.  Before that I will look to purchase what items are legal in New York State.

I sent this message to Wilson combat after placing my order:

I placed my first order with Wilson Combat after hearing of your support
for Law Abiding gun owners in New York State. Thank you for standing
with us against a tyrannical governor. I wish I could afford to order
more.

This was the reply from Wilson Combat Support:

IT IS OUR HONOR

We appreciate your business!

Except for when they work exceptions into the laws so they can continue to be a separate class unto themselves? If I can't have more the 10rds neither should any cop. Imagine how fast these laws would be tossed if that happened. FUAC

Agents of oppressive regimes are oppressors. If they aren't willing to do ban state enforcement, they need to find a new line of work or new location ( non ban state). Cops in ban states are enemies of the citizens because it's in the job description.

Those cops will enforce those unconstitutional laws.  They deserve no free pass or exemption from draconian laws of their chosen state of residence.  Saying cops have the same rights is DERP.

Beat me to it. Sounds nice but how many departments are using Wilson anything? At most maybe an officer in a department that allows personal weapons. Maybe some parts.

Might as well have Nighthawk put out the same statement, or any other mid to high end semicustom maker.
