It will be a few years before I think about trying them or supporting the state controlled communist ran Habanos S.A.

Next to US currency, Cuban cigars are the most counterfeited thing in the world. Habanos SA has a hard enough time keeping up with world demand, and now the US market is being injected (legally). I wouldn't, personally, trust ANY source on these for quite some time. Including known reputable RIMPAC and Euro suppliers. Now that they are getting cut out of the equation, I can picture them going the counterfeit route to keep up/ profit on the demand. There are website dedicated to the selling of labels, bands, boxes, holograms, and wood burners to turn any cigar into a Cuban fake. Keep that in mind and buyer beware.

In a free market we get to tell people to go get bent and not buy their products~ I personally have a deep seated rooted hate and anger towards the government of Cuba. For several reasons, some personal, some political. I will not be buying any Habanos SA product.

From what I understand, the restriction lift only applies to buying them yourself while overseas and bringing them back for personal use.

It looks like ordering them directly online from Cuba or being sold in stores here is still not happening.

For now, yes. We'll have to see what my agency deems "personal use".

A quick afternoon flight to Havana and back yielding a few boxes can be profitable. We were using old duty #'s.. MSRP of like $6-8.00 ea

It will be interesting to see how many other manufacturers will try to introduce Cuban lines. I'll be in Europe in a few days. Maybe I'll test the waters. Bring back some real Havana Club and some stogies.
