Ok, ok, ok....I got a bit busy yesterday and didn't even get to smoke a cigar nor post the rest of the pics!    Anyhoot, this is a very special Cuban handmade humidor which only 100 were made.  I am sure a few of you aficionados know about the limited production Cuban humidors that are released from time to time.  This one is one of those limited editions called the The Punch Supremos Humidor.  You can see a good article on it here. http://cigarslovermagazine.com/the-punch-supremos-humidor-is-coming/ and this article

Here is the rest of the pics.  Sorry, I'm no photographer but hope I still gave some justice to the great custom workmanship.  It's a cool design replicating a Cuban cigar press. The drawers are a very novel design with a push to open spring design.  The "click" when pushed in is very precise and the drawer gently pushed out to open. I'll be very curious to see how this whole system holds humidity with it's electronic humidifier. I will also be placing an electronic hydrometer in the bottom drawer that pulls out further than the pic showed and has another compartment just for this type of use.  Very well thought out piece and the hand carved Mr. Punch is a cool dude!  

Btw, the cigars are still in transit which will give me time to season this, just a bit unsure what technique to use on this, (looking for advice) but the cedar smells fantastic!!  Once it gets loaded with the Punch Regional Released Cigars I will take additional pics.  Enjoy, this is a pretty cool humidor that will accent nicely in my living room.

All seasoned...Let the smoking commence with the Regional Cuban Punch!

Btw for those interested what technique I used to season...Wet sponge with distilled water on top of sandwich bag for 5 days...NO wet wipe down of any cedar. Humidor got up to 84% during this time in which the cedar absorbed very well for 3 days and then down to 75% when cigars went in. Day later (today) down and holding at 68%.

At the onset I was concerned about these magnetic push to open drawers and how good they would seal. Pretty impressed so far how good everything is holding. These dudes that designed this thing obviously no much more then me in wood working.

What was even more impressive during seasoning, both cedar drawers got a bit tight to open due to normal  expansion, but after the humidity came down to the 68%, all is just perfect again. As stated, it's quite apparent these gents who designed this one of a kind humidor know their stuff!

I feel like Mr. Potato Head today...So for the last 2 days the Adonini Humdifier fan stopped turning on. Power reset and I get the dreaded beep, beep, beep with a LED text stating "High" on temp read out. Weird cause ambient temp is fine on all my digital read outs I have stashed in this and other humidors I have. I looked at the instructions and they are severally lacking or so I thought...

Order another humidifier and take the sponge out of the original which still seems damp enough, (you see where this is going) and plug the new unit in and get the dreaded "HIGH" and beep, beep, beep and no fan turn on. I then look more closely at the display and notice the TINY water droplet icon shows 1 drop, where it was 3 drops. Yep you guessed it, during the 5 days of seasoning, the cedar of course was absorbing a whole bunch of water and the spong got too dry and needed a recharge of distilled water! . After I recharched the sponge with another dose of distilled water, bingo the unit started working again as it should.

I'm impressed with the mircoprocessor of this unit, but the instructions could have been a bit more clear and why the word "high" was used in the temp colum instead of "low" in the watet droplet led display is a bit bewildering. I think my italian heritage where these are made may be the reason.

I think an Italian designed unit and made in China...Could the reason the directions are fouled up.  I HATE crap made in China!!  I know, welcome to the real world.
