I paid $200 for it. It needed a new controller. That adds another $100. With the custom shelves and I had keys made for it today, I will be in to it for about $400.

It is a REALLY nice cabinet.

I will post some pics when I get the cigar shelves installed.

I think this is a good turn key option

I'm looking at picking one up myself.  Started a thread to see if there were any with experience with this specific unit but didn't get much feedback.  The on site reviews seem pretty good.

Ok so does someone have a source on one of these at discount. Sure, I can play the CL game but really hate it.

I really need to step up to one of these.

I feel so silly for not buying one of those when I first looked after you posted that link.  They are sold out now on BB.  Not having luck on craigslist here and anything new and adding drawers really bumps up the price

Anyone have any thoughts on the NewAir CC-300?  It is a turnkey solution to a wineador.  2 drawers, 3 shelves, just like the whynter one posted earlier.  Downside is that it does cost more then the whynter one by $100, but it is in stock.  I can probably get them to knock down the price on BB since HD has them for like 15 less.  Plus free shipping and 20% off right now, after tax puts it at about $350.

Apparently they don't have a drain pan and the temp controller goes up to 74 degrees instead of just 66.  Thinking of taking the plunge.  I am not having luck with a humidor.  Keeping sticks in bags right now with a boveda pack but that is less than ideal.  Want something that looks nice to spruce up the apartment a bit.  Plus putting it on credit makes the hit easier to take (although not always the best choice)

Alright guys, drawers came in and look beautiful. Everything is seasoned properly and holding temp and humidity. 68-70 F & 64-66 RH. Would like to keep temps a little lower but this is the best I can get here in Florida for the summer. I did not plug my drain hole and have not had a single shift in humidity so far. Been about 3-4 weeks since set up. 2 shelves, 1 normal drawer, & 1 drawer with a false bottom. This was ideal for me so I could have a few drawers for loose cigars and still have plenty of room to stack boxes, plus it kept cost down a little. These have birdseye maple drawers and the shelves even have the strip of BE Maple on them(hard to tell from the pics). Both drawers are also fully vented. Needless to say I am VERY happy that I went this route. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Full Shot

False bottom humidity set up - 3 Boveda packs I'm trying to bring back to life, 3 bags of 65% Heartfelt Beads....I also have 1 65% puck of Heartfelt Beads on the top shelf.

Bottom Drawer - my NC drawer. Cigars are 3 deep.

2nd Drawer - my CC/Higher End Cigars. 3 deep here too.

Looks great!

You might want to consider using something to get the Bovedas & HF beads off the floor just in case you get a little condensation.  Boveda makes wood or metal holders that you can stick to the bottom of the lowest drawer.  With the HF beads...  I don't know.  Might be able to use string to suspend them or something.

Thanks for the tip! I will probably put them in a shallow Tupperware, or something similar.

Just got a New Air that holds 12 bottles thinking that would be enough for my smokes, it juuust had enough room so word to the wise always go up one in size.
Past that so far it hold humidity like a champ, I was having a problem with my prior humidor have fluctuating humidity to quickly getting dry

Some questions for you guys. I've been browsing Craigslist for a wine cooler, there seems to be plenty on there for cheap. I'm thinking something in the 12-18 range. Assuming it works fine,  is there anything I should look for, or avoid?
Thanks!

Me too

I added the "Ammodor" boxes:

They are well made but only hold about 10 sticks each. I have plans to build a humidor inside the Cooler using the space that the bottom 2 rows occupy. The humidity control is not very good due to the AC type cooler so a humidty sealed box inside the cooler is going to be the solution.

Here's my little setup:

The whole setup ran me only $75 to build.

I bought mine today.

Koldfront 28 Bottle Single Zone Thermoelectric Wine Cooler

101$ shipped.

Now I need humidification, I wonder if kitty litter will work in a Tupperware container?

Or do I need to get beads.

I have beads in the coolerador but its not temp regulated.

Or could I use a couple of these.

FYI Im bidding on this so no one bid on it.
