New Orleans has just banned smoking in most areas. Included are bars, casinos and hotel rooms. The exceptions are Bourbon Street and Tobacco Businesses.






IPCPR is currently scheduled to be in NOLA this year... This should be interesting.




Edit: IPCPR sent out a notice stating the convention center is smoke free. Awww snap!

Whaaaaaaatttt????

That's crazy....next they will put a ban on Handgrenades and Hurricanes.....
I know they are most likely locked into a contract but I would seriously reconsider if that was on my calendar to attend!
So....I googled it and initial estimates from the State Police (they oversee the gambling) would be a 104 million loss in revenue....but they are going to save it in medical costs...right!?!?

I am hoping for a quick change of venue back to Vegas. I don't think I will have enough money to attend if it stays in New Orleans this year. If it is back in Vegas it is an easy trip.

Didn't RTDA have to deal with the same thing a few years back? I think the show ended up being held in TN.
