Last night I smoked an old Vengeance Series 98 robusto that's been napping since March of 2011

Great cigar. Even though the line was rolled into Kristoff, they're just not the same. I like the Vengeance branding and 50 RG robustos.

Too many cops getting shot at the slightest approach.
Too many shootings in the city...like daily!!! but so far it's been rat on rat but one little punk went after one of the regular zone cops the other day...

I have kids that aren't done growing...
We have plans...

Anyway...it was a fine cigar and it was properly drowned with some Gentleman Jack for you Wes...

Aren't they just the perfect size with a prefect flavor? I prefer the #4 to the #2 and can not wait to have room for a box.

I've only smoked a couple of each, but both the #4s were perfect while one of the #2s had all kinds of burn
issues as lots of people have complained about.  Still a delicious smoke, and the one that was on was
amazing.  Overall, the odd bad stick aside, I love Montecristo all around

First half was kind of weak. The second half was pretty good and right up my alley.

8-9-8

First 8-9-8 and it was phenomenal! Next Partagas I try will be the Lusitania. They smell great, but very different from the 8-9-8. More floral, less earthy.

I did all that bragging on Montecristo and jinxed myself.  Lit up an Edmundo this morning only to have an
extremely tight draw.  I smoked it that way for as long as I could, barely getting any smoke.  It was pretty
firm throughout but especially toward the foot, and it started bulging and cracking just behind the burn
line.  I cut about 1-1/4" off, relit, and it ended up being pretty decent.  Great flavor, just not enough of it...

Petite #2 this morning  The burn wasn't great, but the draw was good on this one, and again, flavors
were awesome.  I think it would have burned better if I'd have dry boxed it for a day or two, but I put it in
a Boli RC tube last night and stuffed it in the pocket of the pants I'm wearing.

I love having tubes from old cigars that fit what I want to take with me.  Those RyJ #2 tubes are great
for all marevas like the Monte #4.

I've always been kind of underwhelmed by the V, though I still have a couple napping I'd like to try in a year or two.
