Alright you bastards.
So AmyElizabeth got a few USPS packages in the other day as I was cramming for a final. No big deal but she was super secretive about them and threatened my life a few times if I peeked. I was a good boy and honestly, forgot about them until.... Today: Amy hands me two large USPS boxes and one smaller flat rate. I go for the smaller guy to find: 
^Holy shit. I love both of these! Mmmm Camacho...MMM Cohibas! But wait...

Sonofabitch.....damnit Echo.   This betrayal will not be forgotten.
Onto the two giant packages: 
^Holy shit guys. I don't know how to say thank you enough to everyone who tossed a cigar in this box. First off there are no bad cigars here, no mediocre cigars either. Each and every one of these has either been on my "Have to Try" or "Wanna Try" or "Omgwtfbbq" list. Thank you sincerely: RWS 5D15 Mazeman Frigid EchoAngel 17 Leungken Askinson Panzer 1911 King Rat Bull Of Spades In the above list I'm almost certain other guys had a hand in this. If you don't send me your name via IM or post it here, I will hunt you down and do terrible things to you with a fist full of glitter...or something. Send me your usernames damnit. The second box is a heavy bastard and full of....bottles? Oh no. 
^Damnit. 
^First up we have one of the better rums you've never heard of. Most rums like these are 'mixers' however drinking this one over the rocks is a thing of beauty. I've only had a nip or two of the Krakken but now...muahahahahhaa. Who sent this? Just insert your name _______________________ here, nothing bad will happen I promise. 
^Next up is a sexy bottle wrapped in brown paper which I fully expect to be a bottle of MadDog20/20. Much to my squeal of delight surprise it is instead: 
Basil Haydens. If you haven't tried this bourbon you're missing out, missing out on a lot. Don't put ice with this one, just drink it out of a chilled tumbler and prepare to see the face of Ctuhulu. This bottle represents without a doubt my favorite Bourbon and maybe my favorite liquor to drink on the porch with a cigar. It's been over a year since I've had Basil Haydens and I can't say enough how excited I am to revisit with an old friend (in approx 45 mins from this post). 
^Next I found a delicous bottle of Crystal Head vodka. We used to sell this at the pub I worked at my 1L year and always thought it a gimmick until I tried a shot that was kept in the freezer for a while. Holy crap was I wrong. Not only would it be an affront to science to mix this drink with anything other than zero degrees Fahrenheit and a shot glass, that is in fact the only way to drink this vodka. I'm reasonably certain I giggled when I saw this one. 
^Talisker 10! One of Scotland's smartest exports in my mind, this one's best drank with a small ice cube in a chilled glass and sipped alongside a full body cigar. I absolutely love this one thank you! Lastly tucked away inside this giant box o liquor was this.... 
Holy shit. Just look at this thing. This is a Donatus cigar cutter from EchoAngel 17 that has a cutting style for whatever you happen to be smoking. Nevermind the fact that it's 20+ years old, or the fact that it's brand new with pearl handles....this thing is a sexy beast. This cutter will be used often with pride. Thank you!

Honestly....I think you all are safe....I am very fearful of what is going to happen when he sends back my Xikar case.......if he sends back my case that is....
But....I have AmyElizabeth on my side (sort of...hey, she played a part too and very well I may add) and she is there so I am hopeful that it won't be too bad...

They can do the review for you. Same here, a few friends of mine who don't know anything about cigars, were very kind and brought back a box of fake Monticristo #2 from overseas. I save those for the guests that don't know how to smoke cigars, rather than burning part of my collections. |
