For those of you who are ARFCom and aviation geeks like me...Hope you enjoy these.....

I'm commonly referred to "The one who delayed my flight."

I'm a Flight Following Specialist at a major airline.  Ok, ok I'm one of 11 team members who update the times of arrival and departure on the Flight Information Display screens found in the airports.  I'm also partially responsible for determining WHY a flight is late, IF IT TRULY IS LATE.

Then there are the special flights that run EARLY...We also post those....

Flight Information Display Screen (Can you determine what airport?)

This is what I do 6 days per week.  I run a 9 day week with 6 days on-duty and 3 day off-duty.  On top of all this I commute from Tampa...

For those of you who are ARFCom and aviation geeks like me...Hope you enjoy these.....

Been lurking and just joined.

Union electrician, local 569 apprentice wireman, but I have done many things.

Formally trained in all phases of custom cabinet makingand installing, but left after afew years after all the shops started hiring all my south of the border friends and I could no longer find work as I wanted to make more than 8 dllrs an hr.

Moved to the aerospace industry and hand finished/refurbished fan blades for airlines and the military and then moved to the space and defense side hand working first run parts for the jointstrike fighter, boeing 777 and the space shuttle as well as many other parts. Unfortunately I got downsized because of 9/11 and moved on.

I moved around a bit trying to find a new trade that might be around for a while that paid decent when I stumbled across the IBEW or International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and they have kept me busy for the most part. I have built power plants, casinos, hospitals and malls. I hope to be doing this for the long run. I do have residential experience as well.
