Just noticed that this is nearing 5th anniversary already. That's means I've been waiting for almost 5 years now to use OP's bathroom.

Well you all got me started! I have a M&P 15 OR. Of course, I got struck with EBRD. I picked up a MAGPUL AFG2 and liked how it felt and looked. The only problem was it was NOT black. I decided to take some pictures and show it off a little bit.

I started looking at the pictures I took and noticed how well the AFG2 blended. I started thinking....It's not always a good thing when I think, I have a tendency to turn it into action. Here is the start of my action!

I'm not sure of what camo pattern I'm going to do yet. Maybe something similar to Multicam, since that is what I wear to tactical matches. I'll keep updating as I go along. I did three coats and used a full can of paint too.

UPDATE:
I present to you KODIAKCAM/Sergioflauge!

I'm getting ready to paint my AR multicam.  Before I do I wanted to get some input from the community.

First,  Do the krylon camouflage colors work well for this?

Second,  Clearcoat or not to clearcoat?

Last,  I'm thinking about leaving a few parts black like the magazine release, safety switch, and knob for my red dot.  Thoughts?  Any other pieces you would leave black.

And, thanks to five O for this thread.  Krylon is forever in your debt.

I'm thinking about doing my AR Pistol using OPs method. I'll probably go Aervo (or whatever it is) instead.

Holy crap, a resurrection.  And MC is still going very strong today.

In honor of five O and his undying thread, I think I should do my next iteration using this method in MC.  Once the parts come in, I shall commence.

One of mine, using OPs technique. Used Rustoleum because I couldn't find all the Krylon colors around here. Handguard and optic have been changed since I originally painted it so they had to be blended in.
