Hey guys. So I have a basement window well at the rear of my house that tends to flood when we get a lot of rain. I dug it down the last time as dirt had become hard and was level with the window sill. I also put a lot of gravel in it to help water drain down through the soil. While this helped, it still flooded last night. It looks like its a combination of water coming in through the top and underside of the well itself. There is a spout that is about 10' away and the only way I can see water getting from the spout to the well is under the concrete slab that is in between them.
So my question is, how can I mitigate this? I would have to have a company come re route the spout somehow. Maybe build an extension to help get it farther away from the slab? Also, dig out the well again and find more gravel? How do I fix the undercutting under the well liner itself? Can I fill in with concrete? If I use soil or rock I feel as if it will just wash back into the well each time it rains, or because of gravity.
