I am looking to put magnets in a rotary gun rack.  What size is appropriate for holding the gun barrels but not being too strong to get them out?  I have looked into 3/8" cylindrical.  My goal is to keep the guns from coming off if the rack is spun or if I bump into it.

Has anybody been down this road?

How did you mount those?  I planned on drilling a hole and using hot glue, but these look like the hole would be pretty shallow.

Depending on your rack design a ring type with a countersunk center hole for a screw might give you some ideas.
