Thinking about buying a 14x32 metal building. Would like to insulate it and put in a window unit.

Would closed cell foam be fine for the ceiling?

Best pic I could get of the inside...

I'm in east Texas, so humidity is usually mild or high. Summers can go up to 107, and winters are usually 20, but usually warms up pretty fast.

Are you opposed to a wood building? I've seen way more wood buildings finished out that ended up being great hobby buildings

What do you want to do with it?

What kind of floor....concrete or wood?

How do you plan to heat and cool it?

Storage and small shop.

Wood floors.

Window unit.

I also recently found a 16×40 repo that I could probably steal from the bank for $6-7k. Treated T-111 siding, 2 doors, radiant barrier on the ceiling and vapor barrier on the inside of the paneling.

OP we have one,  I dont know what your building ability is but you should look into building your own

they are very not built very well,  and for the cost you can build a nice one yourself,  if that is something you can do.

I would think regular insulation would work if you buy one.

Stole a 16x40 from the bank

Yes, I know I need to mow. Been busy removing part of the fence to make way for the building. Luckily, I don't live in an HOA

I have the same wind rib pattern metal on one of my sheds. I bought 4 -2.5" diameter float noodles from dollar tree, I sliced them into 2" lengths and cut each 2" length into 3- 120 degree pieces. They stuff perfectly into the five 3/4" high ridges on each metal panel. I stuffed them at the ends of each corner, window and door opening to keep the mud daubers and other crap out. The corner trim will not keep them out.
