Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone Raise Quail? Need a decent coop

I guess that's what they call it.  Wife wants to get some quail this summer to use for eggs.  Anybody have decent designs for coops where it's easy to get the eggs out?  

Also, this will be near our bedroom on the outside of the house, how loud are these suckers?  Any info would be great.

I'll never raise them again. Had a male in with 8 females and came home from work one night to all the females eyes being pecked out.

That said we did a 1/2in hardware cloth and 1x2 frame hanging from an overhang shelter. Front was just slightly lower than the back so that the eggs would roll forward. They are very messy birds.
