Roofing nailer shoots from a large coil, siding nailer shoots from a smaller coil or you can use a regular nailer with stick nails.

look at big sky tools for refurbs and decent prices on new stuff. I bought a refurb hitachi framing nailer from them - worked better than a harbor freight cheapo, and still going strong even tho it gets little use.
