Were can I find some plans for reproduction WW2 ammo crate plans. Some of my students are wanting to build these and I can not seem to locate any drawings for these.

Having a actual crate would be a better option in my opinion.  When I took woodworking we had to draw out what we were going to build before we built it.

You can call around some gunshops in the area and explain why you are looking for one.

I collect different crates so I am always looking for them at shows and such.  

While at one show a guy was selling ammo by the box and I asked if he sold the crates and he said yeah $3 once they are empty.  Crate was nearly full so I offered $5 if he emptied it out early....Money talks.

There are tons of pictures if you do a yahoo search they should be able to draw some plans from that also.

Can you be a bit more specific on what type of crate?

I have 30-06 crates i'd be happy to get you measurements from.

Just search WW II wooden ammo boxes or crates on bing, check images for one you all like.  Why  worry about dimensions too much?  
You can find most of the stencil data on the pictures too.

Or, if it doesn't have to be WW II, but any US military, this book has some nice, simple projects.
