Here is the stove that I purchased from the Home Depot for my storm shelter/reloading room. It is a Voglezang rancher.

Temporary pipe is temporary. i have some heavy wall irrigation pipe that will be sunk in concrete and mounted for a outside stove pipe m the spring.

Why is the damper so high up?  Little hands?

More pipe below the damper equals more surface area of heat.

Didn't mean to sound critical.  I was just curious. It makes sense now. I do like it.  Install looks clean. I have always have liked wood heat and that stove, you can cook on it.

Plans? It's done. I don't think I'll ever need a generator for long term power in this building; since it's a storm shelter not a bunker, but I have a 4500 watt generator that will power it nicely.  Actually I have two 4500 watt generators because 'two is one, and one is none'.

Are those wood splits small enough to fit that stove?

Looks good, Pangea.  You do nice work.

Can't wait for the keg chiller, custom built smoker and LED tv thread

Pangea, looks good!

The only concern I would have is the 36" CTC required by that Rancher wood stove.  Are the wires in the conduit protected enough from high temps?  Can't tell from the pics.

You still need to come over and help me bust the cherry on my shooting bench!

I stoked th stove with dry cherry and  oak to as much as any sane person would ever use and the wall and conduit were just comfortably warm.

Shooting bench says you? Say when.

It may have to be the weekend after next; it's gonna be too cold this weekend!  I don't like shooting in the cold.

Got my Englander 30-NC rocking as we speak!  Nice and warm here!
