Thinking about buying one on Friday.  Anyone here own one and do you detect any motion blur when watching sports or movement?  I also read a report or two on some dead pixels or a cluster of them.  Anyone experience that?

Looks like the 55"will be on sale for $1800 and the 65" for $2800 on Black Friday.  I've stood in front of them in the showrooms and the picture is absolutely amazing, how is yours?

Where are you seeing those prices?

Current pricing on Amazon is $2797 to $2995 for the 65" B6 model (OLED65B6P).  There are also reviews stating the price reduction by LG.  In my area Nebraska Furniture and Best Buy has the B6 at $2995.  Frys said they would be at $2800 on Friday, at least that's what the sales guy told me.

ETA:  Just checked again and one dealer on Amaxon is now down to $2500 for the B6.  Not sure if they can be trusted or if it is some kind of grey market thing but they are new in box.  I wonder if they carry the full LG warranty or not.  I don't know if LG will warranty a TV not purchased at one of their approved dealers like Best Buy etc.  All Amazon dealers seem to be offering feee shipping.

Bought my LG OLED65B6 for 2500 and I love it coming from a 65ST60 panny plasma.

There's a very active owners thread over at avsforum that I recommend reading.

Was at Best Buy & Fry's today, they already lowered to $2800 and said it will not go a dime lower on Black Friday or Monday and if it did, they would refund the difference for a 30 day period.  Mind if I ask where you got one for $2500?  I do see it for that price at some of the "unauthorized" dealers on Amazon.

ETA - did you get any of the extended warranty options being offered?

Based on a recommendation from AVS, I bought it from a seller on eBay..., Not my normal method of buying a TV like this, but since it was a long standing member of AVS with a reputable history, I gave it a shot.

I couldn't be happier with the transaction. Shipped fast and was here in 3 working days. The seller is ielectrica, they have over 5k feedback at 100%, and it looks like they are still selling at that price. Here's info about the seller from their website,

Here's a listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/182267871615

I don't buy extended warranties.

I have the OLED55C6

Its amazing balls.  Best TV I have ever owned and low imput lag is good for gaming too.
Not as good motion clarity as Plasma since they still use sample and hold tech, but these oleds snap to clarity quickly once motion stops in FPS games.

I like it much better than my old 1080p plasmas!

Any thoughts about LG OLED B6 series vs Samsung KS9500 series TVs?

As a plasma owner, the only viable option for me was OLED. However, I've read that that TV is better with low quality sources such as cable than OLED. OLED shows poor sources for what they are. However, OLED crushes it with quality sources.

With OLED now relatively affordable, there's no reason to buy an inferior TV technology, IMO.

100K panel life...   if I watched 8 hours a day it would take me 34 years to wear out the panel.
@30k panel life it would still take over ten years to wear out.

I replace my TVs every 3-5 years as Porno tech advances so rapidly that we need to constantly upgrade our hardware.

Panel life is generally rated till the level that half of the original brightness is able to be provided.  So you will likely notice the degradation well before you get close to 30k hours.  Also there isn't likely to be much meaningful change in tv hardware/standards in the next 3-5 years.  Merely improvements to meet current standards.  8k and full Rec. 2020 support is a long way off.

I'm happy with my 65EF9500. I haven't noticed any motion blur or dead pixels.  OLED blacks can't be beat.

I went ahead and bought the 65" B6 model.  I work damn hard and deserve it.  I have it all set up, went through some YouTube calibration videos and I must say that 4K content like House of Cards on Netflix is amazing. I am pleased.

What are you doing for sound? Stock speakers? Sound bar? Full on home theater system?

Although I went a bit nuts and got the 65", my living area is not that big so I went with an Onkyo sound bar ($400 approx) that works quite well.  I just don't have the room for a home theater system.  I am sitting about 10 feet from the screen in a nice big recliner and the Onkyo is more than good enough for me.
