I was going to order a BENQ w1070 off Amazon this summer while the price was low, but evidently they ran out and everywhere else is selling them at a premium. I've already got a theater room and this is replacing an old Sony proj.

Does anyone have the BENQ ht1075? That's the newer version of the 1070 and it can be had for $840. How are Epson projectors?

Been using an Epson 2030 since December. It's 1080P, 3D, with fairly inexpensive bulbs. No complaints thus far, it works great. Would've bought a BenQ, but Amazon screwed up the order so I purchased the Epson locally.

Epson 8345 is $550 at Visual Apex.  Mine replaced a Panasonic AE900U.  I wanted a BenQ but one with zoom and lens shift was $1k and higher.  I'm glad I went with the Epson.  It looks better than the Panny when it was new.

BenQ or Optoma. I've been running an Optoma for 2 years and love it.

Sorry I forgot about this topic. I ended up going with the BenQ 1070 factory refurb for $630. Came with the same warranty as new models, and the bulb had 0 hrs. Its been great so far.

I recently purchased the 1070 and have to say it's awesome. I have it projecting 130" onto a Behr SilverScreen painted wall and it's impressively bright.

I will be making my own custom pearlescent dark gray/black paint mix soon based of the mix in the video below. Can't wait. The blacks are a bit crushed due to it being a fresh painting, but they get better as the paint cures.
