I finally figured I need to get with the times and store my media digitally.  Right now, our movies are on DVDs.  We also have Netflix that we run through a WII or blue ray player.  Can someone point me to a quick primer on how to set up a digital media center?

"Digital media center" has different meanings for different people.  I spend a LOT of time at AVS and Home Theater Forum and I am not sure what you mean.  Are you looking for storage?  Player?  Combination?  Wired or wireless?

I have a Roku for all of my streaming media.  Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Go and a few dozen other Roku channels all run without issue.  I also use the Roku digital media player "channel" (like all other channels, It's really an app) to stream my personal media from local storage.  I store my media on a XyZel NAS drive that contains a pair of 3GB Western Digital red drives.
