I find the Xerxes character repugnant and would not pay to see a movie with that character in it.

It had none of the over-the-top visuals and characters that made the entire first movie the mythical verbal recounting that it was, and the visuals were not nearly as artistic. Even the plot was kinda shallow. That said, the special effects were good. I have it on Blu-Ray, and I'll watch it again sometime, but the original 300 is a true work of art with a compelling story and mind-blowing visuals. This one tried but failed to reach that level. |

we enjoyed it. not as good as the first but not bad at all considering most of the other garbage hollywood puts out. (Fast and furious 6 for example. God what a turd that was)
