+1 for Monoprice. And not just for cables only too.

Get the cheapest thing you can find. HDMI cables either work or they don't. Don't spend $70 on a set of "gold" cables. It's a digital signal and the gold fittings will not help in the slightest.

All of my HDMI cables are Monoprice as well as a 4 in / 2 out HDMI matrix switch box. Great quality and even better customer service.

The super expensive cables only help when you're doing a long cable run. Like the other replies in the thread said, just get an inexpensive one from monoprice or someplace else.

Monoprice is fine but I prefer the ones I get from Blue Jeans Cable

The only time you might want to consider dropping big bucks on HDMI cables is if it's going to be a long run. For a short cable from your PS to the TV (I'm assuming all the equipment is located in the same place), just go with an affordable, reliable cable.

I hooked this up to my ps3 tonight and it looks awesome.. I have been playing MW3 on regular yellow - red/white cables and when I played on this I was just amazed.. Great cable for 9.99 to my door..

Yes, going from analog vodeo to HDMI would be a HUGE improvement.

Amazon.com has a bunch of options too.
I buy several at a time and re-sell them (or give them away, depending) to people that need them.
Lots and lots of people have bought into the "expensive cable is needed" bullshit. |

That said, the Amazon Basics cables are great for the price and I use a couple of them currently. $8-10ea shipped IIRC. |

One option in the testing was to use a coat hanger. It performed as well as some of the high performance, err, ... I mean, high cost cables. No, no, no let's not go there this time. |
