Bad Santa 2......
LOVED IT...but, it out performed Bad Santa in the politically incorrect category, so do not expect a softer, gentler film. Also, for the women, there isn't as much of a romance piece as the first one. But, Kathy Bates as Billy Bob's mom is awesome! |

Sausage Party
raunchy, a lot of sexual innuendo, just a totally non pc animated comedy. they take shots at everyone - politically, racially, sexually, socially, in any way possible. All of this takes place as the characters are items on supermarket shelves. I thought it was well done, the non pc jokes were sorta funny but I thought the language gets old definitely not a kids animated film. it was OK |

I still have it on LD and probably watch it at least once a year, always try to introduce someone new to it for the first time if I can. |

War Dogs
Wolf of Wall Street meets Lord of War. I enjoyed it. Jonah Hill and another guy are guys who get into the defense contracting business as middlemen starting in 2005, through a completely legitimate avenue, https://www.fbo.gov/ They find they have to deal with unsavory characters and break the law in order to win larger contracts, and it all comes crashing down on them in the end. |

Captain America: Civil War
the action scenes were kinda cool, the story - meh. they even brought Spiderman in for this one. for me this begs the question: how come Marvel can't make a decent Fantastic Four movie? |

Tarzan
I was looking for anything halfway decent I hadn't seen on Redbox and Tarzan had relatively high ratings. I figured it was because of women rating the hunky star of the movie, but the reviews were about the movie overall. So I rented it with low expectations. It wasn't bad! I was really surprised how historically-based it was. The plot revolved around the exploitation of the Congo by King Leopold of Belgium, and several of the characters were historical figures. Plus it had Margot Robbie as Jane for the men, which I didn't expect. If you're out of things to watch, this is a pretty decent movie. |

View Quote Fox owns the movie rights to Fantastic Four, along with the X-Men and Deadpool. Fox does not tend to do well with its superhero movies - the best of which, Deadpool, was basically stifled by the higher-ups there. Ryan Reynolds had to fight to get it made, and it was well after 'someone' leaked the test footage that the public response bolstered his case and it was given the green light (with less than a third of the budget of X-Men Apocalypse). |

DR Strange , thought it was really good, better than I thought it would be and it needs to be seen in 3D to get the full effect.
Hacksaw Ridge, good but slow to get going. Rogue One, I thought it was awesome, lots of action. |

Rogue One, just got home. Liked it a lot, the references/tie ins with the original Star Wars were great.

"Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.
