Nameless beat me to it... If it's based even slightly more on the book it may actually be superior and/or weirder to the original movie. As a general rule I got tired of the remake syndrome going on about 15 years ago now. But occassionally there is a candidate worthy of a remake. Maybe this could be one, but I'll remain skeptical in my middle age now. Kate Beckinsale...o.k. at least she's easy on the eyes. Colin Ferrell....total commie dick.
