My wife lost her job late last year when the mortgage broker she where she was a processor closed shop. Even she has over 20 years of office experience, some with VP's of major companies, she has been unable to find a job.
I was on unpaid sick leave due to herniated discs in my back since last September. I got a letter from my department on March 25th (my birthday) that I was being terminated effective March 31st even though my Doctor had said I could go back to work on light duty. I was never told a deadline that I had to be back nor was I offered light duty. The separation notice said "failure to return from sick leave". I have always kept them posted as to what was going on with me. Luckily I had some money put back that I got when my brother passed. I had been using this to pay the bills and had been paying the COBRA insurance for my family since October '10. In September '11 I had to stop paying the Cobra insurance because we had ran out of savings and our unemployment wasn't enough to pay everything. So now we have no insurance. I've been trying to find a job but my status at POST shows I'm medically retired because my previous department lied to them. My back is still screwed up and the last specialist told me that surgery would probably hurt more than help. Since I can still function, even though in pain, I'm not considered for disability. Since POST shows I'm medically retired, I can't even get an interview at another department. I do have a couple of leads on some good positions. Both are security supervisor jobs that pay pretty good. We don't have any debt but the house and luckily the mortgage company has drastically cut our payments until we find employment. I contacted EEOC and they told me I had a good case but I was outside the 180 day deadline and they can't do anything. I would really appreciate it I we could get some prayers sent our way. Sorry if I was rambling. Thanks, Mark |

Sorry if I was rambling. Thanks, Mark Mark, As I was just reading your post, I felt as if the Spirit of God was leading me to relate to you about the importance of you and your wife to consider giving to some sort of christian outreach project, that being, giving out of the need that you and your wife have right now concerning your families finances right now. I have found too that in the Bible, our Lord said that in order to obtain mercy concerning anything, then as christian people we are to also be merciful and kind to others who are not as fortunate or blessed as we are. It sounds like to me also, that God is already activly working on your behalf as to be helping now concerning your mortgage and other details about your finances that will see your family through in this difficult time, no matter how long it takes in order for at least one of you to become gainfully employed again. But however this may go for you and your other family members, please remember this. We as christian people are in a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ, meaning we as God's chosen ones have obligations of our own concerning God's best in all of our lives and many times this means some sort of sacrifice on our parts in order to get God's best or the ball rolling for us, so to speak. So I would again suggest that you and your wife set aside some quality time during the day or night for awhile, especially when you and she normally do something else, and ernestly seek God's wise counsel concerning the matter of giving in a place where others will be helped according to the riches and glory that God has already graciously bestowed on you and your family as something already done. I will also pray daily for your situation until by faith and the hope that is Jesus Christ comes forth and with Power, to manifest in your financial situation that will leave you and yours with more than enough, that being, God through men pouring out a blessing for you, that will pour into your lap through God's abundant provision toward you and your wife, as being gainfully employed once again! Thanks, Jim |

Please pray for me and my wife. She had a mole biopsied on her foot the other day and is already convinced its melanoma. We hopefully will hear the results within a week from now but the wait is killing. She is already talking like the end is near and with our first child being born at the beginning of November, it is tough on her and already talking like she won't be with in the future. I'm just trying to wait until the results before letting it attack my emotions, but I am having a hard time trying to combat some thing she says. I'm trying to be strong for her, but its hard coming up with the right words sometimes when she talks of my future without her. Thanks!

Brothers and sisters in Christ, my family needs some prayers for strength. 2011 has been a tough year for my wife and I. My wife's grandmother who had been much like a mother to her passed early in the year and I lost my grandmother in early November. I also had an uncle lose his battle to cancer this year and a great aunt pass. Finally, today, my wife found out that her cousin was found dead in his bed by his father. He was 18 and has had some problems with horrible migraines so we're waiting to hear what the arrangements will be as well as what happened.
My wife had a really hard time when her grandmother died and couldn't understand why she had to die when one day she was alive and healthy and the next day gone, but God's perfect plan, we believe, became clear that she was to be in Heaven to welcome her grandson. |

My brother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer day before thanksgiving. Also in his lungs and on his spine. We buried him on New Years eve.
Jeff lived 56 years on this earth and finally accepted God's saving grace while on his deathbed! My prayer request is for my sister Cheryl and her 2 teenage boys. Although married for 23 years to Jeff it was a marriage from hell and they were soon to be divorced. My sister has an appetite for sex, drugs and rock n' roll that has destroyed her marriage and her life. Worst part is her sons are following in her footsteps. I was able to spend a significant time in prayer and ministering to them last weekend. But my concerns remain. Alcoholism and addiction is rampant both sides of my family. Only by Gods grace did I overcome and I am praying for a miracle in Cheryls life. She is the seed that fell on the rocky soil. thx |

In Your precious word, Father, You stated that You, and You alone, take all things and situations, that being, even the ones which do not appear to bless us into account as situations which testify to Your truth and the compassion which You do, and keep in mind for all of us who follow You. Now Father, we humbly ask in Your Name, that being who You are, to be with streightfaced, his wife, and streightfaced's whole family right now in Jesus name, in order for them to benifit from Your unending grace for them in their hour of uncertainty pertaining to the test results concerning streightface's wife and according to that situation. Furthermore Father, we ask You now to begin Your sure and powerful healing process in her now, as to heal her now, also as to bring You, O' Great King, a glorious response from her, as well as all of streightfaced's family which will indeed glorify You, Father. So in Jesus name, Father, let this be so for them, and for all who come into this thread for Your healing touch, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the magnificent provision that You have made toward all of us who love You! In Jesus name then, Amen, and by the Power of the Blood of Christ shed for us, Amen. |

Everything is OK with my wife. I can't say thank you enough for all the prayers and support I have received from everyone. Prayer is powerful tool that when left in God's hands, anything is possible. After learning that her biopsy went to two different pathologist, both saw the cells as a-typical but nothing to worry about at this time (not cancer). The mole will still be excised so it is not of concern in the future. Both her normal PCP and the Dermatologist we saw yesterday believe that the pregnancy played a huge role in the changes in the mole due to the hormones and chemical changes her body has experienced. They both think that is what was causing the pathologists to say it was a-typical and that if it was done before the pregnancy it would have tested just as a normal mole. We learned that during the pregnancy, moles can grow and darken to the hormone changes. She still will follow up with the dermatologist once a year for a body check being she is fair skinned to be on the safe side. She has a new lease on life and this experience helped remind her/us that we take to much for granted and be thankful with what we have. It really puts life/reality into check and remind us that we need not stray from the Lord. Thanks again everyone and God bless.
