I *think* most major religions and their denominations have them. Just post the sites and the religion/denomination. No discussion please. And no complaining about what I did or didn't post. Ya got something better, just post it. I'm just googling here. It would be nice to have sites that people have used and recommend for next time I have a stupid question.
If all goes well and we play nice, I'm sure this thread will be helpful. Here are some sites I have found in no particular order, and I don't know if they are good or not because I don't practice every faith - I can barely practice my own properly. : General: www.4truth.net/site/c.hiKXLbPNLrF/b.787913/k.32BA/Splash_Page/apps/s/inline.asp Jewish: www.jewfaq.org/ shamash.org/trb/judaism.html Jews for Jesus: www.jfjonline.org/witness/case.htm Islam: www.islamworld.net/ www.islam101.com/ Mormon Christian: www.fair-lds.org/ Baptist Christian: www.baptiststart.com/doctrine.htm Mennonite Christian: www.mennoniteusa.org/ Evangelical Lutheran Christian: www.elca.org/ Episcopal Christian: www.elca.org/ Catholic Christian: www.ewtn.com/faith/teachings/teaching.htm www.newadvent.org/ Atheist: www.atheists.org/ Pagan: www.paganlibrary.com/ Wicca: www.wicca.org/ Hindu: www.hindunet.org/ Buddhist: www.buddhanet.net/ |

Hi Persephone....
Again, you never posted anything other than a relevant question. Your thread was unfortunately hi-jacked by those of the "mine-is-better-than-yours" ilk. I'm sorry you had to endure that. Again, we've IM'd, though please feel free to use me as a sounding board. IM's are okay, though contacting via my e-mail is better. Ed |

Reasonable Faith (Popular and scholarly articles, and various audio lectures and debates by William Lane Craig, the leading Christian apologist)
Stand to Reason (great articles and podcasts on everything from the existence of God to abortion) Tektonics (I don't like JP Holding's style in personal debate, but he knows his stuff and has a lot of useful material) Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (one of the most useful and prolific sites on the net) Monergism (an absurd amount of theological and apologetic material from a Reformed perspective –– also see their book store. Triablogue's response to the Rational Response Squad (blog run by a very well-read guy named Steve Hays –– check out his Topical Index for lots of posts on apologetics and other things) |

To add to the Reformed theology list
http://www.desiringgod.org/ He is simply one of the best defenders of what he calls Christian hedonism. Piper is one of the most influential people ever in reformed theology. his efforts have aided massively the rebirth of the theology of Calvin. Knox, Edwards, Owens, and the like... Also, you all need to read the westminster confesison of faith. be you reformed or not, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of theological summarization ever. make sure you read the original. but hey, im a crazy reformed theologian so i might be biased... |
|
Oh now Persphone, you know there is no such thing as a stupid question.
I have leaned heavily onreformed.org/ which is 'Center for Refomed Theology and Apologetics'. Gosh, it even has the word 'apologetics' in it.his At the risk of starting a flame war...you might label us 'Calvinists'hinking.gif Here is bdub's link heated up www.desiringgod.org/ |
