Quoted:
I've asked Jesus to come into my heart and reveal himself to me a thousand times. I can point to many emotional experiences, but not to a deeper sense of assurance or certainty that I have a relationship with him. This reality depresses me greatly.

Here are some "must have" essentials to maintain a walk with Christ.
A daily reading of the Word.
1 Timothy 4:13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
Fellowship on a regular basis.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
PRAYER !!!!!!!!!
Not just an occasional prayer to bless your food but an attitude of constant prayer which is our fellowship with him.
1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. 16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Finally, meditate on Gods word.
Psalm 119:11 Your word I have treasured ( Hidden), in my heart, That I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts And regard Your ways.
16 I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Standing water eventually turns green. We must learn spiritual breathing. Find a good church to learn the word and fellowship at and then get out and start sharing your faith with others that there is a hope beyond this present realm.
