Am I crazy or did this not happen? I could have sworn I read about some of the people following Jesus (the same he fed with loaves and fish) and he basically tells them "you dont want me you just want food..."

The truth in that Scripture is indeed very pointed, and right now I'm struggling with a couple of family members and a friend who are just into the song and dance and not the message, or so it seems.  I can't tell you how heartbreaking it is to see and hear people who have been in church their whole lives, so I gather, are really nothing more than secularists 6 3/4 days a week and show up to church to hear a song or two and say they were there and maybe get a feeling.  I've failed them but I want to stop failing them and help them, but not sure what will work.
