Why is it named that?  Why not Abrahamism, Israelism, Levitism, Zionism, or Davidism?

I get it that David was a Judahite and I get the significance of the Temple, but why did the name of Judah prevail over Abraham, Israel, Moses and Aaron, etc.to describe the religion?

When did all the descendants of Israel start referring to themselves as Jews/Judahites?

When the kingdom split after Solomon's reign, the northern 10 tribes became known by several names such as Israel or Ephraim. The southern 2 tribes of Judah and Benjamin simply became known as Judah.

Assyria carried the 10 tribes away and only a remnant remained and were incorporated into Judah. What happened to the rest of the 10 tribes is a long sordid history.
