It's not conspiracy or kook think, either. It is the logical progression of centralized banking, advertising, and government to get us away from paper-based to electronic forms of credentialing.

Adopters will get to start their car, turn off the home burglar alarm, pay for meals, or gas, and identify themselves for special treatment via a small implant and a wave of the back of the hand (or via the forehead for greater distance).

Those that resist will be treated like how people who write checks buying groceries are looked upon today.
