Now here's a topic that really doesn't get touched on that much. And just maybe this is because a lot of people factually and truthfully don't know a lot about Him. Some say that He, a Supreme Entity of God as I shall call Him on this occasion to identify God; or the so called, "Third Person of the Trinity" as the song entitled, "Amazing Grace" calls Him or in refrain, calls Him, "God in Three Persons; bless-ed Trin-i-ty).

He is the One I wish to speak openly about today or in the near future from now!

So, what does the word of God, or the Christian Bible have to say about the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost of God who as genuine Christian people is and quite Scripturally so, supposed to be dwelling with us from and beginning in our lives as, ''The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and with Fire"

What did Jesus Christ have to say before His time on the cross at Calvary about this One? What according to Christ Himself, had to take place in order for this, "Spirit" of God to come into men (or and women)?

What role does the Holy Spirit play in the very midst of the information concerning the very salvation in which you and I must depend on?
How should these things coincide with our faith toward God in Jesus Christ in an inerrant way?

Your thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated, however, unless you just want to troll in here in an attempt to derail this Christian type thread, which if detected, will not be tolerated for very long and I can assure you of this.

All serious questions will be addressed here about this subject; as all Christians who come in here should be willing to interact in any way possible and in accordance with Scripture to help.

Who the Holy Spirit is and actually what the Holy Spirit does in my own humble opinion should be a huge and paramount issue and focal point as a matter of being essential and binding concerning the evidence of all Christians who proclaim that they have saved eternally through the blood of Jesus Christ (or Anointed One) by dying physically for us who are, ''in Him'' or in kind, Him auspiciously working through us now and with power?

Does He (Holy Spirit) reside in you, and is Your supreme "Teacher" as the Bibles states about Him concerning your learning, education, and the spiritual understanding through Him that everyone should possess in order for us to understand all things, as the Christian Bible states, that we will with purpose and with God's love in our hearts as the catalyst in order that we might be able to do all things in which God would have us to do for His glory? And for ours also, but secondarily for ours as a reward but is fleeting; but much more in the eternal sense concerning us; of perfecting the mind of Christ who is in us already now (or again through the Holy Spirit of God); who is the One that the only singular eternally unforgivable sin can be committed against by us that will not be forgiven in this life, or the one to come, according to God's final judgment which will affect us all!

An abomination and again unforgivable.

What do you know of Him?

Would you like to know more?

What's going on with you Mr. and Ms. John and Jane Christian, if you really don't perceive this part of God in you now, that being, the most important part of God for us while we still are physically alive or should be; should we be concerned about this?

Should we be more than concerned about this?

The Bible uses along with the terminology the word, "fear" in many Biblical places to describe reverence, respect and homage toward God.

But should that word, "fear" be used in its more common fashion and attention about the Spirit of God if we believe that He may not be dwelling on the inside of us as He only came mainly on the outside, or externally influenced people to do things for God's purpose before the cross?

Does anyone have a descriptive Biblical example to share with us about some of these things?

What does the Christian Bible have to say about the evidence of the Holy Spirit in our lives should be or should come about in a fashion of way that the word of God says it should?

Is this the only way?

Your thoughts?

Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit: (See: Gleanings from the Book of Isaiah: The Ancient Prophesies; Isaiah Ch. 11: 1-2)

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him (or Messiah)-------a Spirit of counsel and strength, Spirit of knowledge and of the fear (or holy/set apart reverence) of the LORD. His delight will be in the fear of the LORD (of in everlasting reverence of the Father).

He (Spirit of God)) will not judge by what He sees with His eyes, He will not execute justice by what He hears with His ears, but He will judge the poor (or the meek in spirit before God) righteously and execute justice (or actively instigate righteous judgments/ lawful actions by:The Power vested in Himself) for the oppressed of the land.

You sound as if He would have us to just stand there with His foot over ours, so to speak, and if He fails at using us in some way, ''In Him'' which is the right or correct manner according to His righteousness because now the Spirit of God resides on the inside of us; then He would inauspiciously points His finger way down low at us and in sarcasm or malice directed toward us says something like: "See, see, I told You that this guy was an idiot!"

We'll let Satan do that because he is the accuser of the brethren, and sisters in Christ as the Bible says that he is; but not by the power of the Holy Spirit, which the Father gave us to bear up under all things, and is a Gentleman and Scholar toward us concerning all things!

The truly supreme and Master Teacher for us concerning all matters of the Spirit which is everything!

Win, win, all the way around town!

We'll choose that, the light of God's goodness in our lives; instead of darkness of the devil's plan of deceit and deception against us any day and stay close to Christ; and through His Spirit in the center of our lives; and active concerning us through His word which He has graciously written to edify and to protect us in all occasions and through all seasons!

Yes come quickly Lord!

Thanks,

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Now the earth was (or when God began to create the sky and the earth, the earth was) formless (or was nothing that the creation would recognize about earth latter on) and empty (or void of human or animal life), darkness covered the surface of the watery depths (or was covered by the great oceanic prehistoric sea), and the Spirit of God (or the Holy set apart Spirit of God for creation: Workman) was hovering over the waters.

Then God said, "Let there be light (or I Am Light To Be)," and there was light (or there was God's Light To Be Forever).

A very common Orthodox prayer is addressed to the Holy Spirit:

O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere and fillest all things; Treasury of Blessings, and Giver of Life - come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.

The Spirit of God is...

Intercessor between us and Him.

The power of God Himself is too great to interact direct with his creation.

Very lovely Marie.

Thank you so much for sharing this with wonderful and beautiful prayer; and supplication with us!

It is deep and gratifying just as He is for sure.

Our very great Counsellor, and God, as we know Him in Spirit and in all Truth.

We owe Him so much more than we can ever repay!

"O Heavenly King" is sung most of the time (the Orthodox sing just about everything). Russian melody in the below clip, which is how my choir sings it.

When mankind began to multiply on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (or fallen angels judged: The Rebellion in the Kingdom of Heaven) saw that the daughters of men were beautiful (or were fallen creatures also as to be familiar in spirit being capable of unending corruption unto death; the human women), and they took any they chose as wives (or as sexual partners as it had been written) for themselves.

And the LORD said, "My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever (or God said that His Spirit would at the appropriate instant of destination take form in the person of Jesus Christ for salvation and intercession into man's affairs by works and by teachings; in an age of Grace or latter Messianic Age; rather than in the age of God's judgment through deluge, 1st death, 2nd death, according to the all of living humanity save eight: See Ark; Noah's Received Salvation: Judgment Decreed on the Wicked : Genesis chapter 7), because they are corrupt (or flesh).

Their days (or the maximum extent of their lifetimes or worldly influence) will be a hundred and twenty years.

The Nephilim (or that offspring of the fallen ones through human women) were on the earth both in those days and afterwards (or and after the universal worldwide flood or deluge on mankind), when the sons of God came to the daughters of man (or again: Authorization: Spiritual Law of Continuous Reoccurrence Without Intervention) who bore children to them (or who bore children to them again).

They were the powerful men (or very large in strength, feature, and worldly sensual intelligence: Persuasion) of old (or from the archaic times: Leviathan's Deep; the age of unenlightened man about Christ and His salvation throughout the world) the famous men (or the coming up and progressingly typical men of enhanced corruption; evil and unrepentant seeds: lawless; violent unto death from human combatants and military angels; by swarming tactics and multiple wounding by instrument: Will of God).

For I consider that the suffering (or the difficulty in the adversity ministry: Management) of this present time are not compared with the glory that is going to be revealed to us (or shown at the end of days to us). For the creation eagerly waits (or stands by faith in his higher perception of the Almighty) with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed (or for God's sons to put on the new man and name in Messiah; to be memorialized into glory).

For the creation was subjected to futility (subjected to failure)-----not willingly (not by free election,
but by God's election to serve a higher purpose other than just the creation itself), but because of Him who subjected it (or who ordained its coming through our flesh)------in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God's children.

For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now. And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit (Holy Spirit dwelling within us) as the first fruits (or as evidence of our salvation in Jesus Christ)-----we groan within ourselves (travail and await our arrival), eagerly waiting for adoption (for the mind of Christ in incorruption), the redemption of our bodies (as was promised by God's Spirit toward us from the beginning).

Now in this hope (or through the hope of the completion) we were saved, yet hope that is seen is not hope (because it is the completed  culminated manifestation of the effect), because who hopes for what he sees?

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it in patience (or wait for it on the inside of the perfect nature: In Him; immortal; incorrupt; pure light; who created all things). In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness (turning weakness into strength by defeating weakness; a created lesser), because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us (knows all things, and is the Author, Master of all things; Originator) with unspoken groanings (or in a heavenly language or in a universal inter-linguistic format not often known or understood by mortal men because of its difficulties)

And He who searches the hearts knows that Spirit's mindset (or the mindset of God's justice for He is God< One in God: Predetermined Actions: The Author and Finisher of Our Faith), because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God (right actions; lawful accordance in Christ toward the supreme approval).

We know that all things work together (or God works together concerning all things) for the good of those who love God (or obey His commands and are lovers of the law who is the embodiment of Christ), those who are called according to His purpose (according to His majesty for He is King). For those He foreknew (or From eternity God knew His people and entered into a personal relationship with them: Eternal: Redeemed Possession from Corruption: Lawful to Inherit as the Prodigious [< L prodigiosus < prodigium omen   portant < portend [< L portendere to foretell] Creations: Benefaction [ < LL benifactio-onis < benefacere to do well; to bless], "In Him"< distinguished; instantaneous; entirety; completed portrayal; to describe or portray as (W)word of God in Jesus Christ of Hebrew Physical Origin Through Uncorrupted Seed of Woman: Completion to Father to Rule with no other Authority Influence to Follow), He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son (or perfected through the Spirit who lives, "In Him": The One who resides and constitutes Himself from within no boundries: YHWH: The God of Abraham: Order of Melchezedek; before and after the physical birth : Noumenon [ < NL < GK nooumenon neut. ppr. passive of noin to conceive: Conceive: To Produce Himself: Introduction through Passive Mean the Law of Laws For the Benefit of the Creation: Sacrifices to the Creator as a Source of Continual Nourishment; Glory: Honor: Worship: Noumenon;  the inexplicable fact or marvel of the Knowledge: Revelation; to be in the eternal places and in chronos; in time; in the world; simultaneously existing: Man and Spirit Within; and with purpose or reason: Spirit of God according to the creation process), so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers (or to become firstborn of the resurrected from the temporal dead to follow Him in and according to all things; every created element in the everlasting schematic: Continuous Destination of the Eternals with Christ in God).

And those He predestined, He also called, He also justified; and those He justified, He also glorified.

Paraclete < counselor, < advocate  A Greek word for the Holy Spirit which expresses the idea of a helper called to one's side. It is translated as Comforter in Gospel of  John 14: 16:

"When the Counsellor (Paraclete < Gk Comforter for the sake of all truth: Identifier: Teacher: Proclaimer of Justice) comes (or always arriving in our midst), the One I will send to you from the Father------the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father------He (or The Spirit of the Almighty God) will testify about Me.

You also will testify (of Me in discipleship) because you have been with Me since the beginning (or from everlasting to everlasting In Him: In Creation of the First Order).
