Sweet, I've been giving these a hard look, they don't stay on the showroom floor for long, seen a few out and about.

Don't know that I could trade in my Husky on one though, I'm too much of a hooligan at times...

How long before you chop the tail and buy some sliders?

It's a pure blast!!! The motor is awesome, pulls at all rpms. It's really comfortable, I've already put about 200 miles on it.

I'm gonna order a fender eliminator sometime this week. Haven't looked at sliders yet.

Awesome bike. I nearly ended up with one, but I try to stay away from first year models as they can be buggy. If your throttle is snatchy, check your throttle cable tension, as well as the TPS. I've read the TPS is misaligned from the factory.  Safe riding!

Latest ride...
2014 Yamaha Bolt, 942cc, only 350 miles so far so no real assesment, rides great at 540lb wet.

My 06' KLR...too fun to ever get rid of. I do urban commutes and fire road runs on it. Like a timex, it just keeps going.

Awesome and congratulations.  I'd really like to have one of these for commuting and shorter weekend trips.  When I sat on one a couple months ago I was surprised at how comfortable it was.

Last May I bought this hot mess of a 1988 Hawk GT for $300. Leaking fork seals, broken plastics, shredded seat and what wasn't corroded was caked in grease. But, it ran.

By late summer I had stripped it down to a pile of parts in the garage. In September it was back to being a roller:

This past weekend I got the last of the major work done and got it licensed and register. Here she is after a nice shakedown ride on the local twisties. I am really loving the bike!

Second, got more miles out of the sides of the first one than I did with the old PP2CT.
I normally go through 2 rears for one front.

I took the MSF class and have my helmet and gloves, was just about to take my written test and put a Shadow RS on order when my car decided to have problems that cost me what would have been my down payment.

Your on your way. Don't let it slide too far back on the burner, use it as a motivator and you'll be in the wind soon enough.

Start saving for good gear, you and Meaty tease about chaps but full protective gear should be a top priority for any new rider, I had the safety net of riding on base for six months before venturing out into the wild, and when I did I had two other bikes riding along too. More bikes in a group is more visibility, visibility and awareness is life.

I took the MSF class and have my helmet and gloves, was just about to take my written test and put a Shadow RS on order when my car decided to have problems that cost me what would have been my down payment.

Currently trying to pay that fucker down, maybe in a year I'll get one

you took the msf course but have to take another written test? I thought that was in the MSF? after that you just go to the DMV and get your picture taken
