Guy bought a Champion frame and swingarm and didn't know what it was for.
He brought it to the local race engine guy who told him what he had.
Both of them agreed to build the bike you see in the picture.
I heard it took about a year to find the correct parts to build the bike.
It's not an original, it's a copy of the original.

Yes it's street legal
Yes it's loud
Yes it makes a lot of smoke
No it doesn't have a kick starter
No it doesn't have a kick stand

There's nothing like the sound and smell of a 2 stroke. SWEET!

AMA outlawed the bike before it ever got finished. Would have ended Harley's dominance of flat rack racing. Glad Kenny finished it just to finish it.

Champion Frames are a very well designed flat track frame, they were made in a little shop in Hayward CA. Worked there in high school TIG welding the frames together.

Although I have no idea what I am looking at I know I would ride the heck out of that thing. I am proud that I at least recognized that it was a flat tracker

I love the smell of Bel-ray in the morning.

Our afternoon.

Our evening.

Oh hell!  Anytime of the day or night.

Nice...my first bike was in 1978; 1972 Yamaha RD200. Loved that smell.

Hmmm. I had one also around 1986. Green one with a rack on the back. Traded it to a guy named Jay in Watertown.
