Seems the local dealer has a couple 2017 F250 Super Duty's for cheap. Both have the 6.2L gasser

and the towing package, 3.73 rear gear, camper package etc..

Any known issues with the 6.2? I don't really need  an F250SD but I can't bring myself

to spend $10K more on an F150 with the 5.0.

Thanks. KB.

ETA - Oh, I'm not interested in anything other than a V8.

A buddy has one and really likes it.

Thanks! I hope there aren't any major issues with them. I tend to keep my

vehicles a long time and don't want any "surprises" at 80K miles.

I have one in a F150 and have no complaints.  It's a solid engine, but it does like to drink gas.

Great trucks, we haven't been inside any of the 6.2 engines and we sell a ton of them. Pretty decent power and light years ahead of the pos 5.4 3 valve.

I have a '14 F250 CCSB FX4 with the 6.2 and 3.73 and the camper package.  Solid truck, came from an f150 and the ride is definitely worse.

Rides better with some weight in the bed.  I like that it has a beefier frame and all around components that will lost a long time.

Dash says I'm at 13.3 avg mpg right now and that's with a heavy pipe replacement front bumper and BFG AT KO2 tires.

Keep it under 70 mph as much as you can for mileage purposes, over that it starts to drop closer to 12 mpg.

They are thirsty but they work. Can't go wrong with any of the Big 3's offerings diesel or gas.

Thats cuz they're slow. If they're slow they can't blow themselves up.

Good to know that the 6.2 gets good reviews.

I've been casually looking at F250 4x4 extended cab trucks with the 6.2 and Tundra Extended Cabs for a new work truck. It seems that the Tundra has a very slight edge in mileage but I do like the added capability of the 3/4 ton for hauling. I'd like to put a tool box, diesel tank for our equipment and still be able to haul a bunch of steel studs, screws and drywall when needed. I hardly ever tow anything that require the expense and hassle of a diesel.
