I wanted to have it done before the warranty ran out.... The new cam phasers are the latest and greatest ones. We haven't seen any come back making noise yet. |

Just got the call from the dealership. The timing chain work is done but they found the front pinion seal leaking and want to keep it another day. I told them I am in no hurry and to tell the tech thanks for being observant.

Got it back this morning. Glad to be back in my truck. All seems good. No noises. I'm guessing they removed the battery cables as everything was reset when I got in it.

I have done the same thing on 5.4's timing chains and cam phasers is about 3k

Guy at the fire stations 15' eco boost just did this exact thing too with 50 k on the odo . Sucks but sounds good that they are fixing it
